Meet Costanza Knight……

C. Knight head shot.jpg

The watermedia and mixed media paintings, drawings, and monotype prints of Costanza Knight, also known as Connie Knight, are contemporary expressions that explore and celebrate the human form and the landscape. Poetry and narratives are often her creative touchstone, but she also takes inspiration from the landscapes that she lives in and loves. Always captivating, her diversified interests are reflected in her varied styles.

A Floridian by birth, Costanza spent her summers in Saluda, North Carolina, where she took art classes from her father, also an artist. Having loved the terrain of NC, she is now a resident of Hendersonville and her studio is at 6 Whitehall Lane.

Knight has shown throughout the Southeast in group, juried and solo exhibitions and has won a number of awards for her work.

Her paintings are included in university and private collections throughout the U.S.  Her work can be seen at The Art Mob Studios and Gallery in Hendersonville, NC, at the Purple Onion in Saluda, NC, and at Mystic Osprey Fine Art Gallery in Beaufort, SC.

"In my heart not only is this watercolor just plain beautiful.  We have all experienced freedom, rising up and flying free.  We long to experience that again only to find much to our continual surprise - so well expressed in this piece - that we are bound in our protoplasmic state.  I finally understand that it's only through the knowledge of who I am that I fly with continual freedom unhinged by the human condition.  This is an awesome piece that continually inspires me.  Thank you Costanza Knight.  I am proud to have you in my collection.

Your fan,

Gail Edwards"

Daylight Coursings is the most recent addition to our family art on display in our home.   My husband Alex selected this vibrant piece from Connie Knights’ collection of talented works. It is prominently hung in his home office and evokes feelings of Nature’s rhythm and splendor through the colors and undulating lines on display. As the scene moves the eye back and forth among the hues of blues and greens the captivating little red sphere won’t let go of its hold on you.
